Developing a Personal Magical Consciousness: by Raven Grimassi
(2:30 – Area 3)

Create and work with the “magical persona” as a means of empowering your magical and ritual abilities. This workshop focuses on the development of a magical consciousness that can be invoked for a variety of purposes.  The two primary intentions are to empower or enhance the practitioners magical abilities, and for protection against negative energies or entities.

Cauldron of Memory by Raven Grimassi (11:15 – Area 2)

The spirits of your ancestors whisper to you; do you ever hear them?  In this class you will be introduced to the concept of the living river of blood that flows through each generation, and the idea of ancestral memory residing within the cells of our bodies.  Also included are methods of communing with ancestral spirits. You are the heir to an ancient lineage who passed on the DNA that created you.  Within you is the memory of all that has come before.  During this class you will learn about techniques to contact your ancestral spirit and be a Keeper of the Cauldron mysteries in your own lifetime.

Advanced Tarot by Shale Rune (1:00 – Area 1)

Learn when to use enhancement cards, when to stop and how not to get stuck in the Tarot card quicksand of throwing too many cards. For fun we’ll figure out what type of reader you are (a teacher, interpreter, healer, mystic or alchemist) which will help you decipher what kind of reading style best suits you. Discover techniques to work through cards that may be a problem for you. Learn how to expand or enhance a basic tarot reading including reversals and getting over blocks. Advance your knowledge of combination cards by working within the patterns, employing clues like numerology, astrology, and cognitive creativity so that you can relate more closely with your clients. You will learn how to phrase your questions, how to formulate and tell the client their story, and explore major arcana vs. minor. We will brush up on the many faces of the Court cards and their multiple meanings, are they a male, a female or an aspect of the client’s life? We’ll also touch on a few secrets of double deck readings and work on creating your own spreads if we have time.

By the closing of this workshop, I hope that you will be able to look at your Tarot deck and your readings with new eyes. Be able to read with a renewed passion and confidence knowing that you have a better understanding of what the Tarot can bring into your life and what you can bring to the lives of others.

"When Pigs Could Fly":  Welsh Myth, Mystery and
Magic by Juniper Talbot
(2:00 – Area 1)

In Ancient Wales, the art of storytelling had specifically magical overtones.  The ancient storyteller, poet, historian, musician, called the Bard was considered to have magical powers; sending his spirit beyond the Veils to bring back wisdom and truth.  This wisdom was brought back in story and song. Taking a closer look at these wisdom tales from the Welsh Celtic world, we will discover aspects of Celtic spirituality that can inform and revitalize our own spiritual practices.  We will end this session with a brief ritual to encounter the Sacred Sow, an animal particularly honored at this time of year as we turn from dark toward light.

The Witches Herb Garden by Jim Norris (12:30 – Area 3)

Listen to 40 years of herbal wisdom and anecdotes with Jim Norris.  In this workshop you will get more than your "garden variety" herbal lore.  You will hear the wit and wisdom of a gentleman herbalist.  Take a moment to gather a piece of history and magick in this unique opportunity to hear one man's journey through The Witches Herb Garden.

Ze Old Vays Are Ze Good Ways (An Introduction to
Medieval Astrology) by Chris LaFond
(1:30 – Area 3)

Since the Enlightenment, when the Western astrological tradition was broken, astrologers have struggled to understand and use a system that was no longer understood, and didn’t seem to work very well. In astrology’s recent comeback, the focus has been mostly on psychological interpretation, but it was a prediction that was the focus of traditional astrology for nearly two millennia. Today, there are a handful of astrologers who are recovering these ancient traditions as they were once practiced, and a renewed focus on predicting.  This workshop will present a brief history of Western astrology with special attention paid to the differences between classical/medieval vs. modern traditions. I will also (re)connect the Western Astrological Tradition to the Eastern (Hindu) Astrological Tradition.
